On Saturday February 9th, 2013, Nancy Meyer was diagnosed with Lung Cancer, which had spread to her liver and lungs. She was taken to the hospital early in the morning on the 9th for severe pain. Upon arrival at the Good Samaritan hospital in Merrill, she was sent to Saint Claires Hospital in Weston. Here she had surgery for a ruptured Colan, and here the cancer was found. This is uncureable cancer. Nancy has lived and worked in Merrill, Wi her whole life. She always has and remains to be in good humor. Nancy has worked for many places. Most recently, she cleaned at the Marshfield Clinic Merrill Center. Before that, she worked cleaning on her own for several years. She has led many other lines of work including long employment with Hurd Windows and Doors, and the old Foto News. She has also been a great person to the community and volunteered for many charitable events including many years of voulenteering with the CROP walk and Walk for Life, which was itself, an event for cancer. Nancy has no insurance and this benefit will help ofset medical bills that are incured, and also to ensure Nancy enjoys her final days with us. We would love to see you make it to the Benefit on March 9th, 2013 which will be at Les & Jims in Merrill, WI. Doors will open at 1pm and the event should last all day. Their will be Food, Beer, great Bands, and Excellent prizes! Watch the list of Amazing Prizes grow as we add them by checking below often. A list of bands and times will also be posted below. |
